Grand view Venice 1BR with balcony near BGC

The location is excellent. It’s attached to the Venice Canal Mall, so you can’t get much better than that. The complex itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The pool area is lovely with lots of gardens and play areas for children. There is a strip mall at the front of the building with several convenience stores and a grocery store so very convenient to get food and supplies as well as some fast food. But if you are looking for restaurants you need only go to the Venice Canal Mall and you will have your choice of many many restaurants with all different kinds of food and price ranges.

The apartment that was pictured was not the apartment I got. The picture showed a queen bed, a table with leather type chairs and a tv affixed to the wall over the table and a love seat. What we got was; a bed, a table with 3 plastic chairs, a tv sitting on the table and some piece of furniture that was unusable. I’m not sure if it was futon type thing or what. It seemed to be missing some cushions and was so uncomfortable you couldn’t sit on it. The freezer door was broken off in the fridge and there was an inch or two of frost all around. I turned the temperature on the fridge down twice but all the drinks would freeze overnight. I didn’t want to turn it down too far so that the freezer defrosted as we only had two towels for the bathroom and I didn’t want to have a flood on my hands. Also the hood fan didn’t work and so the smoke detector went off while I cooking some eggs. The induction cooker is in Chinese? And hard to understand even though I’ve been using other ones for almost 3 months in the Philippines with no problems. So I was not happy about that. The whole place needs a good scrubbing. The bedding was clean and the floors in the main room were clean but the bathroom and the shower had mould in the corners and the glass had soap buildup on it. We did ask for an early check-in which was granted but this lack of cleaning has been going on for some time. Actually it’s just a lack of upkeep all around. Every cupboard door still has the packing plastic on the handles but it’s half falling off. There is a bucket overflowing with water on the balcony sitting on top of the air conditioner unit.I emptied it the first day but not after that. Not sure why they don’t just connect a piece of hose to the drain. Silly things like that.
