Overall, everything with the stay itself was perfectly fine—the room and property were alright. However, if you are an international traveler who does not have a Malaysian bank account and must pay the deposit in cash, be prepared for a massive headache. The process of handing the cash deposit in and out was an ordeal. In total, my group spent nearly 1.5 hours waiting out for someone to arrive to collect the cash at check-in and return it at check-out. Check-in: The first night brought an unfortunate thunderstorm, leaving us waiting in the freezing, chilly rain and wind. To be fair, I don’t blame them entirely for this night, as I had to push back our check-in time a few times due to bad traffic conditions. Check-out: The second day, however, was frustrating. We had agreed on a specific handover time (1330) beforehand, yet they still showed up 45 minutes late. I had to send them several messages urging them to hurry up and come, all while my group was stuck waiting around standing. Because of this lengthy delay, we ended up missing our planned lunch. If you can pay via a local bank transfer, you will likely have a fine experience. But if you have to rely on cash, the management needs to drastically improve their punctuality so guests aren't left stranded outside.
