Big J hostel Tam Coc

Beautiful common area with hammocks, a pool table and lots of places to chill and mingle. A nice mountain view right across the street (you can also sit there). Really great social atmosphere, super friendly and helpful owners, really good noodles with vegetables and eggs (if breakfast is included in your booking, you can order anything from the menu - that is, real Vietnamese food and not just banana pancake and scrambled eggs, as it is unfortunately the case with many other hostels). This place was definitely one of the highlights of my Vietnam trip 💜

There are no lockers in the dorms, which was really the only downside. But if you ask the owner, he can store things for you.

This was a great location with a great staff. It felt like a communal hostel without being a party hostel. I thought it was a good value for the town

The bathrooms needed to be clean much more frequently. Many toilets didn’t work. The showers had low water pressure at times. I thought the dorm smelled very moldy.

I love this hostel so much!!!! It’s a local family owned with three children and some animals. The view from the hostel is amazing and breathtaking especially in the early morning. They provide awesome breakfast with a drink. I had sweet time playing with kids and animals!!!! People staying there are also nice! Many are super chill:)

This hostel would get better ratings if they clean a bit more often. For your info, there are no lights in the bathrooms and shower rooms. If you are not used to outdoor camping style, maybe this is not for you. The shower pressure and temperature were more than perfect.

- die Zimmer sind eher sowas wie Bungalows und diese stehen tagsüber auf. Das heißt, es ist heiß und da es keine Schließfächer gibt, fühlt sich das auch nicht so sicher an. - die Badezimmer sind wie auf einem Campingplatz! Mehr als einfach - teils sind die Duschköpfe kaputt und dreckig ist es auch.
