Room was clean. People were friendly. Breakfast was nice

The outside doesnt really look like the picture. It’s quite tired on the outside. The entrance is spacious. The room was a bit too small for a family of 4. One of the beds seemed smaller than a normal double and my two son’s sharing a bed struggled. The bathroom had a funny smell when we arrived but that went once we showered a few times. There was a lack of plug sockets.

Wat een heerlijke locatie met superlieve hosts. Ze stonden altijd klaar om ons verder te helpen en deden er alles aan om ons verblijf prima te maken. De kamers waren prima in orde en ook de gezamenlijke ruimte was heel ruim. Ondanks de taalbarrière, de eigenaars konden zich behelpen in het Engels maar hadden er wel wat moeite mee, was het wel duidelijk dat ze hun opperste best deden. Ook de ligging was prima. Rustige, iets residentiëlere wijk vlabij The Grand Hotel (waar we trouwens een heerlijke Afternoon Tea hadden geboekt).

Geen echte grote opmerkingen. Het geheel voelde wat koud aan door de glanzende vloeren, maar dat werd ruim gecompenseerd door de hartelijkheid van de gastheren.

The hotel's location is beautiful, situated on a slightly elevated area, and it's not far from the city center or popular attractions like Gregory Lake and Victoria Park—just a 10-20 minute walk. The building itself is stunning, featuring a lovely little garden and a miniature waterfall. It's very elegantly renovated, making you feel like you're in a palace. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Mahinda assisted us with excellent arrangements, such as booking a tour car and a car for our return trip to Colombo, at prices lower than others. Thank you to them! My stay was wonderful, and I would definitely stay there again.
