Perched above Morganton, in Western North Carolina, The Blue Dove offers serenity and seclusion while being just a few minutes from downtown.
Watch the sun set behind Mt. Mitchell while you lounge on the outdoor daybed or soak in the hot tub.
End your evening curled up in front of a fire roasting marshmallows, streaming your favorite movie, or playing games.
There are areas that can accommodate and engage everyone, and also spaces designed for moments alone, or sneaking off to take a nap. The house is family friendly as well. We provide a high chair, pack n play, as well as fun toys and books for the kiddos! There are two twin size porch swings. One on the front porch where you can enjoy the sunrise and one on the back to watch the sunset behind the mountains.

A true hidden gem in Burke County with spectacular views! House is immaculate with tons of options for families to relax and enjoy company. The host was exceptional in her communication, and I was surprised at how quickly she replied to messages. She even went the extra mile and left us all the ingredients for s’mores AND fresh flowers. House had all of the amenities needed to cook and best part is grocery stores are only 5-10 mins into town. The kittens were super friendly and a big hit with our guests. Teenagers loved the game room and having their own space. Surprised by how spacious the bedrooms and bathrooms were! Also, a plethora of lounging areas to reconnect and celebrate various milestones. We hope to return!!!!

Highly recommended mountain retreat. Such a beautiful place, with amazing views, and thoughtful amenities for all ages. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Our group of 8 guests all enjoyed our stay with plenty of space to sit together or spread out for some quiet relaxing time.

Laura was an excellent host and very communicative! The house was better than the photos! There were several details that were very intentional and thought out. We have a two year old and there were so many things for him to play with/read! Laura is very kind, and check out was super simple. Thank you for having us!

Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Host was very attentive and assisted with any questions and concerns we had. Property was beautiful with a great view.
