Offering spectacular views of surrounding mountains over the lake and a large two-level private dock that's perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and boating for hours on end, Harborside Haven is sure to provide the quintessential Lake James experience and "postcard perfect" vacation you've been dreaming of!
After a day on the water, letting your worries float away, enjoy a glass of wine on the deck around the fire pit or pick up a paddle and play a few rounds of ping pong before nestling into the ultra-cozy leather couch by the fireplace in the living room to stream a new movie or binge your latest TV show obsession. This home promises a sanctuary from life's tensions and will anchor you in tranquility!
About the Home
• Fully equipped kitchen with island seating for 3, dining for 8, dishwasher, and standard drip-style coffee maker.
• Impressive living room with SmartTV for streaming, gas log fireplace, and access to the deck with seating overlooking the stunning lake and mountain view.
• Upper-level loft, overlooking the living room, with a sitting area, a game table, and a balcony with Adirondack chairs for 2.
• Lower-level game room with second living area, RokuTV for streaming, and ping-pong; access the lower-level deck with hammock, fire pit, and ring-toss-hook games.
• The walk to the dock requires navigating long, and occasionally uneven, steps. The experience of the lake is well worth it! Lounge and relax on the upper dock or walk down to the lower dock to swim. The homeowner stores their boat and various water toys at the dock; these are unavailable for guest use for liability reasons. Boats cannot be launched from the property, so guests should plan to use one of the nearby public boat ramps on Lake James

• The main floor offers two bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, and a full bathroom (shower and bathtub combination) with hallway access only.
• The primary bedroom is located upstairs with a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower/bathtub combination.
• Also on the upper level is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a twin-size bed.
• The lower-level bunk room offers 5 twin-size beds and 1 full-size bed, along with a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Nice house and location. Unfortunately, we weren’t aware of the need to have beach type towels. Probably our fault, it might have been in the paperwork and we just missed it. We ended up going to nearby stores to buy one for everyone to take out to the lake. There were minor issues (bulbs out, loose toilet, etc) that the property managers were very quick to respond to and work on. Overall a good experience and would rent again!

Comments meant to be constructive and helpful:Kitchen cabinets dirty and greasy- I did what I couldKitchen rug is a soil trap and can’t really be kept cleanBack deck would benefit from awning, it gets so hot and glare-y back thereFitted sheets on all beds so that sheets are not getting all undone on bottomThe spaces served us very well altho sharing en suite master bath was a bit difficultThank you very much. It was a wonderful family time, esp for this cancer- fighting grandma!And thank you for getting the misplaced wallet back to our son.

Wonderful location to enjoy beautiful Lake James. We were able to use our pontoon boat on the dock. The house had plenty of space and a well stocked kitchen for our family vacation.
