Central Phoenix Value Stay Red Room

This was mostly as expected based on the listing and photos. The location is fantastic, right next to the gas station for any quick needs, only six minutes from the airport, and right next to two main freeways to easily get around the city. The price was great, too, the most affordable location I could find by far. Communication with the owner was excellent, they were quick and responsive. The space was overall clean, the bed comfortable, and there was a desk to get my work done. The neighborhood looks like it's in the "up and coming" stage but felt safe and was quiet.

The AC is only in the central common area, and there's no venting into the bedroom, so it gets really hot in the room unless you intend to keep the windows and doors open, which would be ridiculously unsafe. It tended to cool down at night, eventually, but this will be probably very awful in the summer. If you sleep hot, beware. Listing advertised a coffee maker, but there wasn't one to be found which was disappointing. They only provided a blanket for the bed, no top sheet, which seemed odd especially given how hot it was. A lighter top sheet would have been nice. There were no kitchen towels to wipe things up so I ended up using my bath towel lol Although the space was overall clean, I did notice that there were several roach traps about and a couple dead ones laying around. Never saw any live ones, so they seem to have it under control, but if that bugs you (har har) keep that in mind.

Where it's located it's nice, it's near everything, a store, restaurant and public transportation even the light rail. Down the street from the hospital.

By law all places half to make exceptions for serve animals and emotional support animals. Because they are no longer considered pets. This place choice to break the law and not allow it making me half to put my emotional support animal/service dog at a day care which ruined my mental health badly. I seen the cleaning staff clean a room and seem they never changed the sheets or the covers which lets me know you are not getting clean bedding . I wanted to report this place because not allow serve animals and emotional support animals but I choice not because I know they will get a fine and support people trying to make money . But they need to learn the law regarding emotional support/service animals. But I will never choose this property again
