About this cabin rental
Welcome to our mountain home. Here you will be greeted with breathtaking views and quaint tranquility. Far enough away from everything to enjoy your privacy and close enough to many great hikes and mountain downtown life. Enjoy over eight private acres to yourself.
Built in 1867, our beautifully renovated home offers historic charm with modern finishes. The home features vaulted ceilings and a sleeping loft, providing airy living. Large windows and the stone wood burning fireplace in the living room combine rustic charm and contemporary design. Two bedrooms and one bath showcase a stunning walk-in shower with bench, overhead and handheld faucets, and Bosch washer and dryer conveniently hidden behind custom cabinetry. The custom kitchen features abundant cabinets, numerous pull-out drawers and top-tier Bosch and Viking appliances for a well-stocked chef’s workspace. A heat pump central air and a full-house generator ensure comfort and resilience. The 8-acre property grants extreme privacy and includes a private spring with a reservoir, a large pond, a creek and smaller streams. Outdoors enjoy a beautiful rock terrace for cooking and relaxing leading to a large fire pit—perfect for unforgettable evenings.
The cabin has two 1st floor bedrooms each with two Queen beds and an armoire/closet. One additional Queen bed is located in the upstairs loft.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, cookware, dinnerware, spices, tea, drip coffee maker, dishes and more. There is also a washing machine and dryer available for use with detergent.

Outside, enjoy the fire pit or cook dinner on the charcoal grill just off of the natural stone patio.

There are Many Wonderful Things at Red Bud… high end appliances, well stocked kitchen, home is very quiet and cozy, ample amount of high quality towels and linens, comfy beds, really great shower, plenty of hot water, beautiful stone patio and stairs, large lawn, pond and rocking chairs on front porch.Things to Consider: steps to the side door are natural stone and the height of each step (only 3) is not consistent, making it a bit tricky for older folks to step safely while trying to carry bags inside. If this a problem for you, simply use the front door. Also, the property doesn’t have an outside trash receptacle, so you will need to haul your trash off yourself.

The cabin is very charming and has many details that we appreciated and enjoyed. We loved taking photos on the property before our formal Mothers Day tea at the Smithmore Castle.

The cabin on Redbud Lane could not have been more inviting, cozy and spotlessly clean. It was fascinating to see how crafty and functional the modern appliances were unobtrusively installed, keeping the integrity of the cabin structure without sacrificing the convenience of technology. The beds were very comfortable with fresh and pleasing linens. A single large modern bathroom and shower provided plenty of warm water, clean fresh towels with hotel style soap, shampoo and lotion available. The kitchen was fully equipped with new appliances, glassware, dishes, pots and pans and whatever is needed to prepare a meal. Outside, oh my the setting is breathtaking. From a lovely seating area with a built in firepit you may sit comfortably overlooking the mountain view with a small pond in the foreground. Take a breath and enjoy!

Loved staying at this Picturesque cabin on a beautiful property. The house had a really nice modern kitchen and bath while retaining the historic charm of an 1800s cabin. The pond was beautiful and it was so nice to have a large fire pit on the property. Perfect for watching the sunset. I also loved having the view of the cows in the adjacent properties.
