Highfield Cottage, set over three floors, consists of a kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, a dining room with Smart TV, electric fire and seating for six guests, and a sitting room with woodburning stove and Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of one second-floor king-size, one double and one twin, all with Smart TVs, along with a second-floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC, and a cloakroom with basin and WC. Outside, there is a rear garden with patio and furniture, and a front garden with gravel, lawn area and furniture, with roadside parking available. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Highfield Cottage is a lovely base in the heart of the Lake District National Park.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
