I chose this apartment because I like that area of Funchal, Sao Martinao. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, and it is a nice walk down to the sea. The apartment is fine, but certainly not luxurious. It is very large and would suit a group of students with modest expectation. It has parking. Washing machine is a big plus.
The interior decoration is very old-fashiooned. I ate my meals in the laundry room as that has a sea-view. The terrace is not inviting, looking across at another complex. The apartment could be much better with a total re-design and fresh interior decoration.

First of all, I would like to highlight Nelson's kindness, his prompt communication, and his responsiveness regarding an issue that arose. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Continente and Forum Madeira are nearby, and there are many restaurants in the area. The garage parking space was very useful. We would gladly return here.
An espresso machine would have made the mornings more pleasant 🙂
