Private Bedroom in Baross Budapest Apartment

This was budget, shared accommodation which worked for our requirements (three friends travelling for the football). We booked well in advance for this, and many accommodations were cancelling bookings and putting rooms up at much higher rates, so we were very happy this property did not do this. Although the accommodation is extremely basic and the location wasn't that nice, it worked for us. Although there isn't much public transport nearby, walking to and accessing areas wasn't too challenging and bolt/uber are very cheap and easily accessible. If you want something cheap and cheerful then this is fine. Its basically more like student digs but was adequate for what we needed for our visit to Budapest.

Entering the property was quite a challenge - lots of codes (some doors not so responsive), tons of stairs (dark and unlit at night - had to use iPhone as torch) and a bit of a maze. The room could have been cleaner, and was quite stuffy (we were able to open windows for ventilation though, but the windows are huge so its open all or nothing). The shared facilities were fairly compact and sometimes there was a wait for other guests who would take forever (granted property can't control this and we knew bathroom was shared). The surrounding area is quite poor and isn't the nicest place late at night (feels very 'studenty' but also lots of people just hanging around the streets with seemingly nowhere to go, and along the street saw comings and goings like a brothel!).
