About this house rental

Welcome to The Dartmoor Hideaway. We hope you will enjoy your stay here on the edge of Dartmoor, a place designed for comfort, calm, and connection with nature. Step inside and you will find a home that blends rustic charm with modern comfort, featuring exposed wooden beams, warm natural textures and thoughtful touches throughout.

The Hideaway offers 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms:

- Bedroom 1 features an Ensuite bathroom with modern walk-in shower and a luxurious super-king size bed, which can also be arranged as a twin setup if preferred. Please request this when making your booking. There is also space for a travel cot, perfect for families with little ones.

- Bedroom 2 and 3 each offer comfortable double beds, dressed in crisp linen designed for a restful nights sleep.

There is also a family bathroom, fitted with everything you need, a shower for a refreshing start to the day, or a relaxing soak in the bath after exploring the moors.

The country style kitchen is the heart of the home, complete with a classic Aga oven and all the essentials for cooking up family meals. After dinner, unwind in the inviting living area, where the log burner creates the perfect spot to curl up and relax on cooler evenings.

Whether you are sharing stories by the fire, enjoying morning coffee surrounded by Dartmoor views, or simply taking time to slow down, The Dartmoor Hideaway offers a peaceful retreat that feels like home from the moment you arrive. We hope you settle in and make yourself completely at home.

About the Neighbourhood :

Nestled in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, the area around Hound Tor is a perfect blend of rugged beauty and rich history. Just a short walk of the granite tor itself, said to have inspired Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Hound of the Baskervilles". You will find endless opportunities for walking, climbing, cycling and soaking up breath-taking moorland views. Nearby, the medieval village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor offers cosy pubs, tea rooms and craft shops, while Haytor and Becky Falls are only a few minutes drive away for more scenic adventures. History lovers can explore the Dartmoor Prison Museum in Princetown or the Museum of Dartmoor Life in Oakhampton and for a day out, the charming market towns of Ashburton and Bovey Tracey provide great local eateries, boutiques and galleries. Whether your after fresh air, folklore, or fine food, Hound Tor is right at the centre of it all.
