About this house rental
Relax and enjoy the magnificent water views from virtually every room in what is one of Hoodsport's most historically significant properties. Built in 1938 out of lumber from the very same property, this home has served as a fine dining restaurant to locals, a spectacular art studio to the public, and finally a commercial facility. It has a rich history and has been tastefully renovated over the last 2 years. You will surely enjoy the open floor plan on the main floor perfect for entertaining while enjoying the magnificent views! The kitchen boasts a spacious island and commercial 6-burner gas stovetop with electric oven and plenty of dishes, pots/pans, spices, oils and accessories to ensure entertaining is a breeze.
There is plenty of entertainment opportunities with an abundance of flat screen TVs throughout, wifi, multiple gaming spaces for kids (including Xbox and Playstation) and relaxing outdoor pavilion with bistro lighting, BBQ, dining and lounging space.
There is an outdoor pier for enjoying the water, stairs down to the beach to enjoy oysters or fishing, and provided stand-up paddle boards and kayaks for guest use (life jackets provided). There is an outdoor shower for a nice rinse after exiting the beach. There is also a 5-person hot tub on the edge of the shore that offers unobstructed views up and down the canal!
The property abuts a year-round stream that attracts salmon every fall. It is not uncommon to observe seals, otters, and whales right off the property. There is excellent fishing and diving in the area!
Downtown Hoodsport, with its grocery, restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops is less than two minutes away-- and a wine tasting room (Hoodsport Winery) across the street.
This is a truly magnificent property with so many unique characteristics to make sure you and your party have an incredibly relaxing time. The upstairs guest suites both have balconies overlooking the water. The upstairs "kids room" is stocked with board games, puzzles, and electronic games (and TV) to ensure that kids stay entertained. With bluetooth sound bars and/or Sonos throughout the house, you can listen to your favorite music from room to room. The basement includes popular family games-- pop-a-shot, foosball, air hockey, and ping pong, while also having a big screen TV to watch sports or relax and chill with a movie.
There is an electric car charger in the driveway and plenty of parking. NOTE: there are overwater cabins on the property, but those are not available for guest use at this time.
