Pera House Hostel

The room was clean, comfortable, and great value for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. The location in Ipoh was convenient, and the hostel had a peaceful atmosphere. I stayed for 21 nights and had a good experience overall.

WiFi could be better at times, and a few small improvements in room maintenance would make the stay even better. Other than that, everything was good.

Pintu utama tak ada lock, pintu rosak, malam angin tiup, 3am pintu terbuka Meja makan ada 1 kerusi sahajaL Wifi tak berfungsi Tak ada tv,

- House and room were clean. - Nice bed with good pillows and comforter to sleep. - Water dispenser for hot and cold water provided with 2 door fridge. Didn't use the washing machine but it was provided. - Air cond and shower were new. - Nice quiet neighbourhood. - Lots of plug points.

- Front wooden door has no lock on it or even a doorknob. Only a 2 seater sofa with a high table in the hall. A full hall set would have been better. No dining set. - No stove or induction cooker provided and this was never informed to us. We couldn't do any cooking although we had brought utensils and stuff to make simple breakfast etc. - Towels were of a felt type of material which were ineffective. - Could have put a mirror in the room. Only mirror was in the bathroom. Sink was filthy. Water pressure was lacking and the shower didn't give a nice spray. - It is not sound proof and we could hear the movie of other occupants who should be told to use headphones so the sound doesn't disturb others at night. - A low table in the room to place bags would have been welcome. Had to take the 2 side tables from the hall for this purpose.
