Modern Loft, spectacular grounds, pool & hot tub

A bright and clean apartment, with great outdoor facilities (private hot tub and pool). It had everything we needed and was in a great location for visiting family in Brighton and visiting the local area. The owner was very helpful when we raised any issues.

It was a bit tricky to use some facilities due to the roof angle (shower and kitchenette), it was ok for us but may be difficult for anyone who couldn’t bend down much.

I loved the garden, the pool, and the hot tub. The toiletries were lovely, and the fresh flowers, biscuits, and Nespresso machine were nice touches. Francesco, the host, was very responsive and approachable. There are bus stops nearby (100 and 17 routes). It was lovely to hear the dawn chorus and be near to several public footpaths. The bed was wonderful, and a lot of thought had been put into what guests might need. The explanatory videos for the hot tub, pool, and heating/air conditioning were really helpful. I loved the skylights too

The loft itself, although it maximises the available space, has sloped ceilings on both sides, so there is limited space where you can stand upright (I'm 5' 6" / 1.65m and I had to be mindful of where I was to avoid hitting my head, particularly when getting glasses / plates in the kitchen area, or when going from the sitting room to the bedroom space, which is down 1 step, with a corresponding drop in the ceiling). I think anyone taller would struggle and don't know if it would suit more than one guest. The location is lovely, but if you are walking/relying on buses, be aware that there are stretches of road where there is no pavement... and people drive fast! I walked to Woods Mill Nature Reserve, 35 minutes away, but got a taxi back because I found the walk there quite unnerving
