The Essence - Sea View 9

L'appartamento è esattamente come viene descritto nelle foto: molto bello, pulito, ordinato e spazioso.

Le indicazioni per il check-in ci sono state inviate solo all'ultimo dopo diverse chiamate a vuoto e la navetta non ci ha lasciati davanti all'ingresso. In casa mancano accessori utili per la gestione quotidiana (tappetino doccia, scopa, mocio, aspirapolvere funzionante). Il bagno, e in particolare la doccia, meriterebbe una rinfrescata dato che è un po' datata e la porta tende a staccarsi dalle guide. Infine, la gestione delle regole sul terrazzo è fin troppo rigida: pur rispettando la quiete serale, siamo stati ripresi anche solo per parlare a voce normale e ci è stato vietato di stendere gli asciugamani sulla ringhiera senza nessuna spiegazione, sará magari perche non è estetico , ma allora vi dovreste preoccupare dello stato esterno del palazzo che non è dei piu carini.

Large spacious apartment. The balcony is big and a great view. Every room is a good size. The location is fantastic because Sliema has lots of boat trips, restaurants and shops. Also the view to Valetta is wonderful when you walk by the waterside.

Not ideal for UK customers when they arrive at 11am and they have to wait for an email for when they can check it - for us it was 5pm so we had to find a Luggage store and wander around a few hours. Having only one key for our family was limiting when individuals wanted to do different activities. . this is compounded with the fact that you need a key to get into the the swimming pool area. More keys would make a big difference to the ratings. I saw recent reviews saying there are very few plates or cutlery. They added more glasses recently following a customer ask. I think there needs to be more attention to detail when the apartment is being made ready -i.e my son's room had one lamp but no bulb (he used the overhead instead). Part of the curtains had fallen down in the sitting room and left like that. Small things that could easily be fixed would up the ratings, as well an additional key and turn around the change overs quicker. Hope this helps.

This is a very large and airy flat with a great view. Air conditioning and water pressure was good. Beds were comfortable. Decor is a bit dated and tired but clean. The pool facility (fully operational when we were there) was well maintained and very pleasant. The apartment is well equipped, although it could benefit from larger drinking glasses and some hooks in the bathrooms for towels etc Communication before arrival was poor but once we arrived in Malta and made direct contact with Corina, things improved greatly.

The management of the flat was pretty disorganised. It is an agency operating the booking system not an owner. I tried contacting the property a couple of weeks before hand to enquire about early check in and late checkout but I got ‘computer says no’ type answers - most of which I suspect were sent by a bot. It was very frustrating. We then tried again a couple of days before arrival and the answer in early checkout in changed to yes, but for a €50 fee that had to be paid via international transfer, which was a nuisance. The answer to late check out was still no at this point. On arrival the access details weren’t sent until I chased them an hour before - and then the keys weren’t actually available in the lock box when we arrived (as they were supposed to be per the instructions). We had to call the agency, who said theyd have to send the office manager out… When the manager did arrive it was Corina, and she was very helpful and responsive throughout the rest of our stay , thankfully. In the end she also allowed us to check out later than the check out time, as it turned out the cleaner wasn’t expected until 2-3 hours that. It would have been a lot more helpful to have had advance notice of this though. Overall - they need more Corona and less bots!

The view from balcony was excellent and the size of the apartment was fantastic!

The cleaning staff were still present for 1.5 hours after we arrived. Sheets were wet as just been cleaned. There was a cockroach in main bathroom.
