About this cottage rental
Nestled on an active 5 acre farm and event venue, this peaceful cottage offers a perfect retreat for work or play- a place to relax, recharge or find inspiration.
This cute cottage, decorated with the work of various local artists, offers the perfect blend of rural tranquility and modern comforts, from high-speed internet to on-site laundry, your needs are met.
Step outside onto the private deck with your morning coffee and enjoy the nature. You can hear the birds, admire the trees and gardens, pet a cat and observe the funny ducks waddling past.
The entire cottage is available for your use. A key will be left in the front door. Once you go through the green gate, there is space for 3 cars, two on the right, across from the cottage and one in front. Please close the green gate behind you so the deer don't enter and the ducks don't get out.
You will find a comfortable bedroom with locally hand-made cotton bedding, a queen size futon couch in the living room with blankets and pillows and a queen size foamy mattress up in the loft. The cottage can sleep a total of 6 people but there is only one room with full privacy with a door that closes.
It is very cozy with board games, puzzles and books available, as well as a flat screen TV that you can hook up to your laptop to enjoy a movie. Or curl up with a book, cook a meal or order from the Rock Salt restaurant that is nearby, take a bath or visit a nearby lake or beach for a swim, go for a stroll or hike the beautiful mountains and hills that adorn the island, find refuge in the forests, the possibilities are endless.
The farm occasionally hosts musical events and workshops. The energy here is alive, vibrant and harmonious.
Close to the village and ferry terminal in Fulford, the cottage offers convenience with restaurant, café, shops, gallery and post office. Other close venues include the Fulford Community Hall, Harvest Kitchen and Drummond Park. It's a friendly, artistic community with a relaxed pace, beaches, hikes and gorgeous views. Salt Spring Island is magical.
The larger town Ganges is a 20minute drive north and Ruckle Park is a 15 minute drive south.

This place is very cute and cozy. It's very comfortable and clean! The ducks are very cute too. My only suggestion is when you are coming to stay, bring some camp chairs or something comfortable for sitting outside! Other than that it is perfect

We can't thank the host enough. Not only was it as described online, but so much more. This is a magical land that feels like home no matter where you're from. The warmth, the cleanliness, the safety and the care. The host clearly wants you to feel cared for. Our 2 little girls loved it (their loft!) and we benefited from our own room. We also appreciated the use of a kitchen. Walking distance to amazing shops and restaurants, short drive to main town hub. Hiking everywhere close. Enjoy this gem of a find
