This is my second time staying here. I chose this place again because the last time I had a wonderful experience here and it was newly built and everything was new. However, this time everything deteriorated and the experience was horrible. Being a small hotel (more like Airbnb), it does not have staff at all except for one on site for cleaning the room. There is no front desk staff when you need help or complain. Everything is communicated thru messaging which is slow in respond and action. There are no facilities like gym or pool at all. The roof top garden on top is pathetic and I don't think anyone will use the washing machine and drying machine they provide as I don't think they maintain them at all. The lift is too small, only big enough for 1 person + one luggage. Back to my experience this time. I checked into the room and found that the aircon was faulty as it kept on producing a constant and irritating sound. The room was also not properly maintained like last time. Too much wear and tear already. I informed the hotel management and a technician came to service the aircon. It only help to reduce the noise of the aircon. My friend actually booked another room so I could compared a working good aircon from a faulty one. So I informed the aircon was still noisy. Nevertheless, the next day they said they would change the aircon fan. However, the noise was still there and I had a terrible time sleeping. The management then decided to change my room to another one. On the third day while changing room, the experience wasn't great. The agreed timing was for me to change at 130pm. I was packing my room, at 12 plus then suddenly the on site worker knocked furiously on my room asking me to change immediately and with two guests beside her. I felt like I was being chased out. I am technically still a guest. After changing to another room,, I found that the aircon was even worse than the previous room. The aircon was more quite but it was not cold at all even after I adjusted to 17 degree Celsius. There were also a lot more other wear and tear in the room. Again I had to complain to the management again. The management respond was fast but the remedies they provided didn't solve the most important issue, the aircon. On the fourth day I already check out not having good rest for the past three days. My friend also booked another hotel to stay on the third day instead of continue staying in his room. For whatever reason, I didn't ask him. I will not stay here again. I will instead choose Asian Ruby hotel just nearby. I stayed there last time cause that time Cubicity had not room available. Asian Ruby hotel is an older hotel but bigger, well maintained, has proper onsite hotel staffs to settle my issues and buffet breakfast.. That time I stayed there, I also encountered aircon issue. I complained to the front desk staffs. They settled it for by letting me choose the rooms available till I was satisfied. I was very happy with the prompt service and effective solution provided by them. Overall I feel this Cubicity is not worth staying as the price is even more expensive than Asian Ruby hotel. However, it doesn't provide free buffet BF, no safe box, not properly maintained room, no facilities, no onsite English speaking staff, no by default housekeeping (You have to tell the onsite staff or hang the plate outside your room. If not they will not clean up your room everyday like hotel. My room was not clean up at all.) For this price, many better options out there. This isn't a hotel more like Airbnb.
