About this house rental

Close to both the front & back beaches of Blairgowrie and its shops, restaurants and cafes, you are a 10-15 minute walk to anywhere during your stay. The main house and converted garage retreat have both been recently renovated to a high standard. Hidden behind an electric gate and wall, off a service road set back from Melbourne Rd, this property is perfect for the family to relax in, together and apart, with 3 living spaces, 4 sleep areas, 2.5 bathrooms and a coastal-style garden.

The space:
Within the main house, there are:
- 3 bedrooms - one queen-bed room, one double-bed room with ensuite, and one single-bed room with a king single with a pull out trundle OR portable cot (not room for both). All rooms have ceiling fans.
- 2 bathrooms - one being an ensuite off the double bedroom with walk-in shower & its own toilet, the other being a shared bathroom with shower over bath, washer/dryer European laundry and a separate toilet
- 2 living rooms - one with 6-seat couch, single swivel-sofa, wood-heater, large living room glass table & wall arm TV; the other with 3-seat couch/pull-out sofa-bed & TV and split system aircon/heating in both living rooms
- 1 kitchen with island bench area - including induction cooktop, large oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster/kettle, coffee pod machine and 3 under-bar stools for breakfast eating; bi-fold doors for opening to outside area

There is also a separate retreat which was recently converted from a double-garage in to a retreat/Games room, and includes:
- Single bunk beds (sleeps 2 kids/teens, 1 over the other)
- 5-seat couches
- Large screen TV
- Pac Man retro video game
- Toilet with basin
- Own split-system aircon and heating
- Bi-fold doors to open up the space

While the house is fully renovated, the garden is mid-renovation, so this is less developed, but still offers:
- An outdoor setting off the kitchen bi-fold doors, seats 6, on brick paving
- A Weber BBQ
- A child's cubbyhouse, seats 2 young kids, recently built and with various toys
- Electric gate
- Parking for 3 cars in driveway, and a further 2 cars outside gate

This is our family holiday home and we have renovated it and care for it as a special place for us to enjoy - we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Dogs are welcome at our discretion, though we please ask that they sleep in their own bedding and are not jumping on beds or couches.

Guest access:
Guests will have access to all rooms in the property, both house and retreat.

Initial access to the property requires guests to 'call' the gate to open it from an activated phone number. The booker's phone number will be activated, any additional numbers need to be provided at least 24 hours prior. Gate remotes are then available inside the property.

We have one locked linen cupboard in the main house, and a locked shed room, these house a few personal items.

Other things to note
While the house, retreat and cubby have all been fully renovated, the garden landscaping is yet to be done, so the garden is quite plain, typical of coastal gardens in the area. It doesn't yet have a deck or pool, and there isn't a lot of expansive green lawn, these are all planned for the future. However, the outside space is still ideal for kids and pets to run around in, all is locked and protected from the road, there are no roads for kids to cross between here and the back (ocean) beach - the famous Bridgewater Bay is accessible via a dirt road at the back of our house; it is very pleasant sitting outside the back in the evening with a drink watching the sun go down.
