I liked the open space between the living room and dining area. The kitchen and connecting areas really made the place spacious. It provided all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was kept modern and clean. Rooms are a good size with super comfortable beds.
Sadly when entering the property we were greeted with a very strong musty smell. I imagine this can happen if the property isn’t being used much and windows don’t get opened often. There was no air freshener so we had to use what we had to freshen up the place and once we were settled I guess we got use to it.
The blinds could do with a little dusting, it was very apparent to us that they hadn’t been done in a while.
It would’ve been handy to have a table cloth to wipe down table and sides but maybe that’s just us. The host did check in with me the following morning asking if there was anything we needed for a more enjoyable stay (which I thought was lovely) but those things mentioned weren’t really a big deal to us.
If you’ve got bad knees/ legs, it may be a little tricky getting up the stairs as they were a little steep. Mum thought she’d struggle but actually the support of the narrow staircase and handrail helped a lot.

The house although basic had everything we needed. Was great to be able to use the washing machine, meaning we could potentially pack less clothes. Beds were all lovely, clean and comfortable with added blankets. Location was great for town and local amenities. The house easily homed 6 of us for a week, with the added bonus of a sofa bed in the front room. The host was fantastic, efficient and very welcoming. We would stay again.
The property doesn’t have a hoover, I would have liked to keep on top of cleaning and give it a good clean before leaving, but that’s just personal preference. Maybe pop one in the cupboard :)
