This is a very convenient place for anyone visiting Carcassonne. There are two bedrooms, a very nice bathroom with a huge bath with overhead shower, and a small living room all on the first floor for visitors. It is in a very quiet residential area about 10 minutes' drive from the centre and La Cité or 40 minutes by bus. Fred was there to greet us and subsequently provided a very good breakfast.

The only things I found difficult were that the apartment is upstairs, so a bit awkward with heavy luggage, and it is also open to the entrance. This would not be a problem for most people, but having a cat meant that I had to keep him in the bedroom to stop him from escaping. But if you don't have a pet who is an escape artist, that is really not a problem. Also, with pets you either have to drive or walk to parks (for walks) or the centre because the buses don't take animals. This wasn't an issue for me because I have visited Carcassonne several times before, but if it is important to you, you just need to be aware.
