2 Bedroom House Cork City Centre

Clean, comfortable and easy to get to. Only a 10 minute walk and you are in the city centre. Extremely close to Kent Train station and to one of the best coffee shops I've seen in a while (Lab 82) One of the comfiest sofas I've ever had in a property like this and the neds were great too

Property was perfect, but no Live Tv, so unable to watch world cup... but only one of us was annoyed at that lol

Location of property very convenient, just few minutes from train station. Also, walkable distance to shopping area, although easier access via TFI buses. Home itself very clean, newly refurbished, with brand new appliances and crockery. Shower in bathroom was lush, kitchen wonderfully equiped and beds comfortable. Best of all was the quick response from and friendliness of the Host.

Nothing.

On the surface, things look pretty good. Especially when you see on the street view of Google Maps what the property looked like a few years ago. Clearly a remarkably amount of work has been done to make it a nice place to stay. In particular, the kitchen looked very nice, though we didn't use it. Up the hill, there is a fabulous tapas restaurant called St Luke's Wine Tavern. And the home is very close to the Cork Kent train station.

Biggest concern was cleanliness - there was an open bag of rice left in the kitchen that had led to ants throughout the kitchen and ground floor. There were overflowing garbage cans in the back yard. The refrigerator smelled of leftover food. The extra rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom had gotten wet at some point and were dried and crusty on the outside. The walls of the front bedroom had cobwebs and a large number of smudges all over them. The beds were not comfortable. There were also small touches that would have made the place more comfortable. For example, there was nowhere to put things down or hang wet towels in the bathroom. The wall clock downstairs had a dead battery. The bedside tables had reading lamps but they weren't charged. The bedside table was much lower than the height of the bed, making the reading lamp useless to read by. We had to text and ask for the wifi password instead of having that information provided. These are all small inconveniences - none of them make or break a stay by any means - but together they make it feel like a place you don't want to stay for too long. Also, the street address on Booking.com is incorrect. It is number 3, not number 5.
