Villa in Radda in Chianti

About this villa rental
The pool looks out over the Florentine valley below. The watchtower at the top of the estate was built to watch for Florentine armies crossing that valley toward Siena, one of the defining rivalries of medieval Tuscany.
Mornings here are slow. The kitchen is set up for family meals and the lawn is big enough for children to genuinely run around. In summer, to chase fireflies. Two gazebos for the afternoons, one for dining, one for the view. When you feel like the village, it is a short walk. Florence is 45 minutes, Siena 30.
The restoration was done by master craftsmen over six years. The blacksmith who made the gate is the same man behind the Chianti Classico rooster. The pink en-suite ceiling dates to 1913, restored using a technique no longer taught. There are two kitchens, eleven garden terraces and zones, and a silent underfloor climate system throughout. The cantina, a vaulted stone room beneath the house, tends to become the default for evening dinners. Candlelit, quiet, the kind of space that makes a meal feel like an occasion.
Brandon, one of the owners, is either on site or within easy reach during your stay and available by WhatsApp any time. Before you arrive we reach out at 90 days and again closer to arrival to help plan the week, and can arrange the house to be stocked with essentials and wine so you settle in comfortably after travel.
The villa includes a welcome basket of wine, local produce from our garden and the village, and two mid-week cleans.
