New construction! Smells fresh. Tall ceilings, Miele appliances, Electrolux front-loader washer and dryer in the unit.
Common areas use high-end finishes and custom fixtures. Kitchen is well equipped with utensils, cutting boards, chefs knife, pairing knives, fresh higher-end built-in fridge with ice-maker. Generously sized bathrooms. Tall ceilings. Super-nice staff 24/7. Location! High-end mall with Lululemon, Sacks 5th Avenue, all posh boutique stores with a nice oasis. Super-safe to walk at night. In the mall (take these mystery stairway across the street up), you get a nice view of the mall - where valets parking Lamborghini Uruses (plural), Rolls Royces, and more humble brands. Same block to the left - dealership of McLaren, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Audi, Mercedes. Tesla dealership a block away. Street parking is enforced 9AM to 12AM at $3/hr with 3hr minimum but there are blocks of free parking around Ponce de Leon Blvd and Fluvia Ave - 12 min walk away - but READ BLOCK SIGNS - situation may change, there are resident parking only micro-blocks. Valet parking is $38, parking tickets are $36 or around that.. Choose wisely :)
With two teenage kids it was a comfortable getaway stay, 2 sofa beds are fine, but kids were used to their own queen mattresses. But we got what we got. The upside is extra daytime seating in Sofa configuration.
$650 a night is a bit steep but it was high season - Presidents day weekend. Apartments in the building sell for $1.3M so if you do the math they're barely making savings account ROI, so it's sort of justified, given the full service and fresh feeling and the premium super-safe location.
9th floor pool with views is also super-nice!
First time ever we've got 4 card-keys.
I can't wait for the time when hotels will start installing Toto Washlets as a standard, as bring your own wet wipes is great but so stone age. Really, it's just $340 at Amazon a piece and will make your guests happy. I even think to either order one ahead of stay and gift to the property, or bring my own. We're so used to them at home. Italy, Japan - it's a standard. Wealthiest nation in the world - come on!
