Dale View Retreat at Mapleton

It was exactly as expected from the listing. Very spacious, comfortable, had everything we needed

The accommodation is nestled down in a secluded, private and picturesque setting among magnificent trees of the Mapleton landscape. The first impression is the panoramic views from all aspects of the living areas, The accommodation was very spacious and facilities in the kitchen well provided. The home is architect designed with interesting features to create a truly holiday feel. There was no breakfast provided with the accommodation but many pantry items that could be utilized if needed.

While the overall experience was great, there were some aspects of the accommodation that could be improved. The Tv is a nightmare to operate. It was laborious and confusing, hard to understand how it worked and often finding the experience time consuming and unsatisfactory. There is no instruction manual available. The couch is very uncomfortable as it is wide, saggy and low. It is very hard for older people to get out of. It looks impressive on first sight as it enhances the decor of the living room, but the comfort and practicality of its design is disappointing. There are no blinds to pull down in the bathroom when the sun floods the area. Having a morning bath is quite uncomfortable sitting in bright hot sunlight with no access to shade.

Everything we needed was there! But what is even better is how responsive the hosts were. Would stay there again. Nothing was too much of a problem.
