Central Lisbon Apartment in Mouraria

The location was great. Information for accessing the apartment was good. Bed was very comfortable. 2 restaurants 1 minute away, main squares, more restaurants and tourist buses 5 minutes down hill. Pedestrian area, so no traffic noise. A Contenente supermarket and several mini markets about 4 minutes away, at the bottom of the steps.

The door is on a hill and only 50% can open, you need good balance to access the apartment with a (small only !) suitcase. The kitchen and bathroom could do with an overall refresh. Looking old and equipment supplied is a random mix and not suitable for a home cooked meal for 4 people. Shaving at the sink is impossible, no plug and fixed tap in centre of the sink. Pots and pans, a tick box solution, not suitable for the apartment (more for a farmhouse i.e. too big). If you have no plans to cook anything, it works. We only had coffee in the morning at the apartment. (Random mix of cups and mugs). The property is under a new owner, i would suggest they take only a suitcase of clothes and spend a few nights there. They will soon find the shortfalls of this apartment.

Nice location - grocery store a short walk away. Living room was spacious with a nice dining table, but didn't love the futon sofa. Quiet neighborhood.

The apartment was very cold, but there were electric heaters in the bedrooms. Ran out of hot water after the 1st person showered. Not enough outlets. Lighting was poor.
