A Wonderful Stay in Rüttenscheid, Essen We had a fantastic 10-day stay in this lovely apartment on Otmarstraße, in the heart of Rüttenscheid. It was everything we could have hoped for and made our visit to Essen both comfortable and relaxing. The apartment is situated on a small, charming and wonderfully quiet street. Despite being very close to the A52 motorway, we were genuinely surprised by how little traffic noise we could hear. The apartment is also remarkably peaceful and well protected from ordinary street noise, making it an excellent place to unwind after a busy day. The location is absolutely superb. The Messe Essen and Alfried Krupp Hospital are only around a 10–12 minute walk away, while grocery stores, the U-Bahn and bus connections are approximately 5 minutes on foot. There are also pleasant wooded areas within walking distance, which is a real bonus if you enjoy getting out into nature. Public transport makes exploring Essen very easy, with the U-Bahn providing a quick and convenient connection to the city centre. And if you prefer Uber, there always seemed to be a car available within just a few minutes! The apartment itself is well equipped and provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. Rüttenscheid is a wonderful neighbourhood, with a great selection of restaurants, cafés and shops, and the whole area has a welcoming, green and lively atmosphere. In spring, when the trees are in bloom, it must be especially beautiful. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and felt very much at home here. A peaceful location, excellent transport connections, close to the Messe, great local amenities and a lovely neighborhood — we would happily stay here again and highly recommend it! Wir waren mit Hund unterwegs und bei der Ankunft waren schon Näpfe vorhanden. Es gab zur Begrüßung Wasser, Saft und eine kleine Schokolade als kleine Aufmerksamkeit. Die Unterkunft war sauber und ruhig. Gegen Abend gibt es die üblichen Parkplatz-Probleme. Das ist aber üblich in der Großstadt. Entweder hatte man Glück und hat in der Straße direkt was gefunden oder halt in den Nachbarstraßen. Wir hatten so eine gute Möglichkeit den Ruhrpott zu erkunden. Hat viel Spaß gemacht und abends konnte man gut den Tag ausklingen lassen. Es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe Kiosk, REWE, EDEKA, Restaurants und eine kleine Eisdiele "Mörchens Eis" die ausgesprochen leckeres Eis verkaufen. War schön.

Location was just perfect for using walking and public transport for seeing the sights of Essen and its surrounds.

Die Lounge im Garten war noch im Winterschlaf. Ist im Sommer bestimmt nett!
