En revanche, l’électricité saute tout le temps : il faut sans arrêt remettre le disjoncteur. Même le soir, avec seulement le lave-vaisselle en marche, ça disjoncte encore. Autrement, tout est très bien.

The location and view.

We were greeted by a power outage. Even though the property sent two electricians couple days later there were ongoing problem with the power cutting out throughout the entire stay. We were instructed not to use the central heating and rely on the 4 provided electric heaters. However, using them simultaneously was impossible, as the fuses kept tripping—hardly an effective solution for a 200 m² house. Several listed amenities were missing or unusable: there was no kettle (electric or regular), no hair dryers, no iron, and an old dishwasher that could not be closed and dirty oven. The washing machine, although also super old, at least worked; but the smell in the laundry room combined with a hole in the ceiling is really only for the brave. We also found coffee in the fridge, which we assumed was there to absorb an unpleasant smell. When it comes to smell and cleanliness, the whole place smelled musty, and I swear there is a dead mouse in the vacuum cleaner Upon departure we learned that the front door locks automatically, and if a key is left in the lock on the inside, it is impossible to open the door from the outside. This means you can step outside with a second set of keys in your hand and still be unable to get back in. The property does not inform guests about this risk, nor—despite their claims—do they provide any information inside the house or a warning sticker on the door. The property also does not provide keys to all doors in the house; for example, including a key to the laundry room would solve a problem with a front door. Instead, the property calls a (presumably affiliated) locksmith and informs guests in advance that payment must be made in cash only. The final amount requested by the locksmith was €211.75. Following my complaint, Booking requested a refund for the locksmith, but the property refused. We didn’t have high expectations, as this house was only meant to be a base for our road trip abut overall, my expierence was rather disappointing
