Balfour House 2

Beds were relatively comfortable, pretty much it. Paid £50 for 2 nights so was cheap. Honestly has potential to be a nice stay but needs some work and more attention

Whole place is unkept, but especially the kitchen was disgusting - no clean bowls or plates so couldn’t have dinner or breakfast as I’d planned, the only available were absolutely horrible (photos attached), not even worth cleaning to eat from. In general just out of date and not maintained, common area smelled weird. Feels like the place isn’t cleaned between guests - mess under the bed/in the wardrobe, kitchen cupboards clearly not been checked in weeks (also asked the owner for plates/bowls and only brought plates, so still no bowls on day 2 of my stay). 1 pillow had a stain on the cover and no spares (also both pillows weren’t very comfortable in my opinion). Owner sent wrong check in details (send me one of the other rooms), and although he was quick to fix it and I understand mistakes happen, the check in instructions weren’t even sent through until 18:30.

The state of the house was disgusting, the room was dirty not cleaned or hoovered just had clean sheets on bed, the bed was old and make a noise everytime we moved the bathroom was soaked in pee or something the shower was dirty no soap or towels I do have more pictures if u need to see more

There is nothing to like about that shit. I spent over an hour outside trying to get in.

I was giving a wrong code to get keys. It never worked. I caught cold while waiting outside.
