Warmth is never an issue here, with a wood heater located at each end of the living room and additional heaters in every bedroom. Outside, a deck with outdoor seating invites you to take in the view or wander down to the water’s edge for a spot of fishing. There`s plenty of firewood on hand and a large parking area that can accommodate your boat or trailer with ease.
Guests have full access to the property. There are no shared spaces or areas that are off-limits during your stay.
Your privacy is paramount, but our dedicated management team is always just a message away for any questions or recommendations. We want your stay to be as seamless and enjoyable as possible, and our team is here to assist with anything you may need.
Miena is the gateway to Tasmania’s iconic Central Highlands—renowned for its pristine lakes, breathtaking wilderness, and world-class trout fishing. The area is a haven for anglers, bushwalkers, and nature lovers alike. You’re surrounded by native bush and wildlife, with Lake Miena right at your doorstep. Whether you`re here to fish, explore, or simply relax, this remote, tranquil location delivers an unforgettable experience that celebrates the beauty of Tasmania’s interior.
A car is essential when visiting Miena, and we highly recommend a 4WD due to the steep driveway and unsealed roads in the area. There’s plenty of parking available on the property, including space for boats and trailers, making it easy to explore the Central Highlands and surrounding lakes at your own pace.
The driveway is steep and due for an upgrade, so we recommend exercising care when driving down. You can certainly take a trailer or boat down to the parking area, but please ensure you`re in a 4WD vehicle to do so safely.
