Wandering Trout

The accommodation was great. Our room was large, tastefully decorated, very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The facilities were good.. a breakfast room, a media/lounge room, an evening bar and common dining area. Breakfast was provided (coffee, tea, fruit, yogurt and a range of cereals. Dinner was outstanding, most nights a 4 course dinner. The food was fine dining and equally as good as any city fine dining restaurant. Fully licensed with a good wine list. I look forward to staying here again. A big thanks to the owners. Tim and Kathleen.

It had personality that suited the age of the building.

The shower pressure wasn’t great and the trucks zooming past early hours of the morning disturbed sleep. Another guest in the next room also kept us up as their water pipes go through our room walls.

It was on the way to Cradle Mt.

The price was very high considering how rundown the property is. It was too include breakfast so expected that to make it worth the value but after booking, we are told breakfast is some fruit, yogurt and muesli. Have never eaten it but thought we would try but the milk was frozen. There was a party downstairs and someone played the drums right under us.
