Central Cozy Cottage - Cove

The house was the last on a dead end street (ie. no neighbors on one side). Instructions for entry were easy to follow. Location was convenient to the FIT campus and also to a short stroll to convenience store to get goodies, or a longer stroll to the main thoroughfare full of box stores, chain restaurants, and the mall. The house had an expansive fenced in yard that included an outdoor patio set (sadly, weather was too chilly to use during our visit), plenty of room to seat 5 in the living room, a large dining room table, and a well-equipped full kitchen. The house was a great value for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

All issues were very minor and wouldn't stop me from staying again. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was low. Step down from hall into living room could be a hazard for some (not an issue for us). Neighborhood is not especially scenic, but it is quiet and safe.

The location was close to the hospital and the beach.

I didnt like the ancient electric stove that had foil on the eyes. I was afraid they would catch on fire. The back storm door wouldnt even come close to closing. It was bent. The front door was too short and somebody tried to fix it by putting a threshhold in the doorway which one trips over because its not flush with the floors. The A/C couldnt keep the place cool. We were usually on the warm side, sweating sometimes even at night. There were little things that needed attention but I dont want to write a book. I would suggest labeling all the many light switches that go to various fixtures, outlets and/or fans. If the place had been in better shape, I would have considered it a good value. I understand that its an old house but updating appliances and A/C would go a long way in improving the appeal of this place. Oh, and there were times you could hear some strange noise when you were in the kitchen. Not sure if it was the pipes or something else?! Very creepy.
