Hands down best place for a base for exploring Nizwa/Bahla/Jabel Shams. We used it as a main place and explored every main tourist area from there. Hosts are absolutely amazing, hard to put that into words, I never felt such hospitality and care before in any of the stays. This is an easiest recommendation that I could give, if you have chance, would 100% try it out. Comfy beds/soft pillows.. everything was up to notch so to say. Witnesing flowing wadis was something hard to describe.. The cat on the premises asks for many pets each time it sees you :)

If you go there on sunny weather, no negatives at all. These appartments I guess are primarily made for good weather (which is most of the time in Oman) but when it's raining, it can get a bit tricky. I would like to make a few suggestions to consider for the hosts (I am sure they will consider it, therefore I am still giving it perfect score), when it rains it would be great to have some sort of a table/chairs inside, it can be small ones, to have a place to sit/eat or consider using umbrella outside, for those few days when its raining. Also, when it's raining really heavily, it can get a bit loud inside from the roof (not sure if possible to do anything about it)
