Sơn Tiên - Amazing Island Resort

The music playing on the advertisement was just insanely loud and overbearing for most of the days. The stuff was being nice but their inability to communicate in English is the limitation to foreigners staying in the resort. The traffic to the resort was also a factor to the inaccessibility of the location.

Resort with water park, good for 2 people want to stay and play. Foods are fantastic too.

1. Facility: The rooms are new, with a nice wooden interior that looks clean and well maintained. 2. Service: Overall, the staff were not very friendly and spoke too fast, which made communication difficult. The only exception was the young man driving the shuttle—he was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the front desk team was the opposite—unfriendly. 3. Value for Money: Not worth the price. My family of 11 (7 adults, 3 teenagers, and 1 child) booked 2 family rooms (for 4 adults each) and 1 smaller room. The family rooms were $*** each, and the smaller room was $**, all prepaid through the app. However, when we arrived, the hotel charged us an extra *** VND for the child and *** VND for the family rooms—an unexpected extra *** VND (about $** USD). Breakfast: Definitely not buffet-style as advertised. They only served pho, eggs, toast, and soup. The taste was disappointing, though the black coffee (no sugar) was very good—so at least the beans were high quality. Other Food: Do not fall for the buffet at the grape garden. It cost **** VND per person, but there was hardly anything to eat—just a few dishes, and the food was bland. Even people at the next table were complaining that it was a waste of money. Other Experience: At night, while we were out for a walk, the guard told us to return to the hotel. It felt like being in jail rather than at a resort. On top of that, at 8 a.m. the staff started mowing the lawn right outside—extremely noisy and impossible to rest. Summary: Although the rooms are clean and new, the unfriendly staff, poor food, unexpected charges, and lack of peace and freedom made the stay not worth the money.
