In Tokyo, space and location are expensive. This place had both for a fairly reasonable price. The train station is a very short walk down the street which was really convenient. The space feels like a big home for what was similarly priced in my research. Rooms were clean and the information we received from the host in advance of our arrival was good. We loved the simple, no in-person contact arrival process. Beds were big and comfortable. 7-11 directly across the street, Family Mart and McDonalds just a short walk down the street. Nakano has tons of restaurant choices is an easy 20 min walk from the apartment. Shinjuku is a really short and easy train ride away and from there EVERYTHING is accessible.

Bigger issues: 1) The internet didn't work very well. We were constantly having to bounce between band frequencies and disconnecting and reconnecting to maintain a solid connection. For my family with 3 teens that really rely on a strong internet connection at our vacation's home base, the internet was tolerable but disappointing. 2) A set of documents was posted on the wall with details, including check-out time at 11am. We were prepared for 11am. At 9:30am- on check out day- we got a text on the Booking.com app telling us check out time was 10am. We replied explaining we were not prepared for that due to the info listed on the wall, but the host was unable to accommodate us staying until 11. We had to really hustle and rush to finish up our packing in less than 30 mins and get out of there. This really messed up our transportation plans. Eventually the host did acknowledge the inaccurate information and apologized for the inconvenience. Smaller issues: 1) I understand that we paid for location and space, not luxury. But the house felt a bit, well... not luxurious. The mattresses were good, but sheets and bedding were unimpressive. Finishes all over the apartment- but especially inside the bathroom, shower, and laundry spaces- felt dated. 2) We couldn't figure out if the washing machine very well, but that might have been our trouble with the Japanese controls. 3) The entry is weird. Not necessarily an issue, but weird. The frontage obviously used to be a retail space. Tokyo feels and is supposedly very safe. But leaving the roll-up door up would not have been comfortable for us. There is a normal pedestrian entry door off the kitchen that seems like it would work, but the key we got only worked for the roll up door. Just meant drawing attention to ourself everytime we came and went. It worked, just weird.

The property has complete amenities and very clean.
