Amera Hiriketiya

We had an amazing stay at Amera. We were the only guests for the majority of our stay, so we basically had the property to ourselves. The facilities are outstanding: super comfy bed and pillows, fantastic bathroom, semi-private pool with very refreshing water. Exceptional attention to details and exceptional care from the staff (shoutout to Vise - the nicest person we met in a month of travelling in Sri Lanka).

Minor suggestion: would be great to have a doorstop for the bathroom door (who is always force-closed by its mechanism).

A boutique property with only 5-6 rooms. Very clean and nice big rooms. Breakfast was very nice in their rooftop dining area with a good view. The manager Visee (don’t know if I am spelling it right) was very cooperative and considerate and accommodated all our special requests readily.

It is situated on a small hillock and the beach is a good 10 min walk away. Would be a good idea to hire a scooter or motorcycle for the duration of your stay to avoid feeling lazy about stepping out.

This was hands down our favourite place we stayed on our two week trip to Sri Lanka! Room and facilities were spotlessly clean. Water and toilet paper replenished daily. Super comfy bed. Very cool pool area. Location was ideal - easy access to Hiriketiya and Dikwella beaches and plenty of cafe and restaurant options. (Breakfast and coffee were delicious at the property too.) Visse is an amazing host. He arranged for our laundry to be done and organised transport to our next destination. Can’t recommend Amera enough.

Spacious, clean and comfortable room, the facilities were great, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, in a lovely rooftop setting. Great location near to both Hiriketiya beach and Dickwella Beach, but tucked away to be quiet. We even extended our stay directly with the Hotel.
