Amaya Tenerife

The apartment host was absolutely charming and incredibly helpful from start to finish. The 'cosy' apartment was beautifully appointed - the beds were extremely comfortable - and faced west. Good for sunsets, sea views and seeing the Giants. It was a very simple 1 minute walk to the private pool on the same level as the apartment and a 5 minute walk to the town centre shops, supermarkets and restaurants - so very well situated.

One of our party was disabled and had trouble walking so entry and egress up and down steps from the road to the apartment (which was on the second tier block) and back wasn't easy especially with cases on arrival and departure. Apart from the living/kitchen area which was quite spacious, the bedrooms, bathroom and balcony were all quite tight. The second twin bedroom was extremely small, probably more suitable for young children rather than an adult/s and the balcony was also on the small side - although it did house the dining table and chairs and a sofa. Would have liked to have done some sunbathing from there but no room for sunbeds although they were available by the pool depending on what time you got there. A microwave in the kitchen would have been useful but again I guess space was the problem. It's very difficult to find a parking space on the street so having access to a garage on the complex was an absolute bonus. A shame neither the host nor I were given notice of the 4-day garage access closure which occurred on the day we hired a car for 7 days - street parking was nigh on impossible as both residents and visitors were trying to park there. Needless to say, when we eventually found a parking space after driving around for an hour, the car didn't move for four days!

Great apartment, modern and comfortable. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Bathroom was very clean. Plenty of towels to see us throughout the week. Great view from the balcony. Loved our stay here.
