About this lodge
The hammered metal California king sized bed provides comfort and plenty of room to have a restful evening. The sofa can be set up as a queen sized pull-out sofa bed (at least one days notice required for pullout sofabed setup). The private en-suite bathroom includes a European styled shower and complimentary personal care amenities. This renovated seven-bedroom historic Inn was built by the Biltmore's supervising resident and completing architect, Richard Sharp Smith.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Marshall House Inn is conveniently located between Asheville and Hot Springs. You will be a short drive from the music of Asheville, the Appalachian Trail and the Great Smokies in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains. With over 55,000 acres of National forest you’ll find lots of opportunities for whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, biking and zip lining.
There are five other guestrooms on property. Shared common areas include a 50' front porch overlooking downtown Marshall and the French Broad River, a living room on the ground floor and the second floor, multiple dining areas, a game room and a fire pit. The abundance of common area spaces available for you to enjoy is one of the best perks of staying at the Inn!
There are a number of books to enjoy, a 65" Samsung smart TV and games in the cozy second floor living room (there are no TVs in the guestrooms). On the other side of the property you can enjoy the fire pit (firewood included), or watch TV in the game room while choosing between a game of ping pong, skee-ball, giant jenga, chess and poker. If you are traveling with others and would like to consider adding on a private space for your group, there is a flex space above the game room available for rental which is perfect for yoga (mats provided), booking a mobile masseuse for your group, or using the space for an art retreat.
