With great attention to detail and an appreciation for the house’s history, I have carefully renovated the 1931 villa and the vacation apartment created within it. The result is a place that combines the charm of bygone eras with modern living comfort. Exposed oak beams, carefully selected materials, and thoughtful details create a warm atmosphere where you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
Villa di Baro is deliberately different from many classic vacation rentals on the Baltic Sea. Instead of maritime clichés, you’ll find stylish, unique furnishings with character and personality. The ambiance is more reminiscent of a small boutique hotel than a typical vacation rental.
Spanning approximately 80 m², you’ll find a spacious, light-filled living area and a modern open-concept kitchen that’s open yet pleasantly separated from the living space. Here, you can cook, dine, and relax together. Two cozy bedrooms invite you to enjoy restful nights.
The spacious master bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and washing machine, as well as an additional small “en suite” bathroom that provides even more privacy, ensure exceptional comfort.
Thanks to the separate entrance to the vacation apartment, you’ll enjoy a high degree of independence and privacy during your stay. This makes the apartment feel more like your own little retreat than a traditional vacation rental.
A special favorite spot is the small Italian courtyard on the first floor. Surrounded by old brick walls, a secluded oasis with cozy seating awaits you here. Sun loungers are available upon request, and a patio heater ensures pleasant warmth even on cooler evenings. It’s the perfect place to wind down after an eventful day with a glass of wine.
The Villa di Baro is situated in a quiet yet central location in the heart of Gingst, one of Rügen’s oldest and most beautiful towns. Small shops, restaurants, several cafés, and a grocery store are all within walking distance, right nearby.
Bicycles for exploring can be rented right next door—ideal for discovering the island at a leisurely pace.
