Inspired by the Danish art of hygge—a lifestyle of coziness, warmth, and togetherness—this retreat invites you to gather with loved ones, savor simple pleasures, and be present in the moment. Whether you plan to stay local and explore the iconic Indianola dock and beach, or venture to Seattle or the Hood Canal for Hiking, this home sits in a central location to do it all!
With room to comfortably sleep up to 11 guests, Hygge Hideaway is ideal for families and groups seeking both shared gathering spaces and quiet corners to retreat.
Inside the main house, the primary suite on the main level offers a king bed, an additional twin bed, a smart TV, and a walk-in closet with laundry. Its attached bathroom features a large tiled shower and double sinks. A second bedroom with a king bed connects directly to the shared main-level bathroom, offering both convenience and privacy. The spacious living room overlooks the water, with high ceilings, abundant natural light, plenty of seating, and a large smart TV for relaxed evenings in. Just off the living room, barn doors open into an office that doubles as a flexible sleeping space, complete with a fold-out queen bed or a quiet nook to unwind. Upstairs, a reading loft with a cozy couch and shelves of books invites you to slow down and linger. Downstairs, a retro-inspired theater room sets the stage for nostalgic movie nights, complete with hundreds of DVDs, a record player, and the perfect setup for popcorn and laughter.
A short path from the main house leads to the guest house, a private retreat that comfortably sleeps four. The upstairs loft holds a full-size bed, while the main floor offers a pull-out couch, kitchenette, dining space, and TV—perfect for grandparents, friends, or anyone who enjoys a little independence while still being close to the action.
Outdoors, the home shines with gathering spaces designed for togetherness and calm. The expansive patio offers 180° views of Puget Sound, with elegant lounge furniture, a BBQ, and a dining table for long summer evenings under the stars. This property was everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway. The pictures really don’t do it justice. Upon entering, you feel at home and cozy with tons of amenities that are great for families. We had such a wonderful time and look forward to returning soon.
