Peninsula Puerto Vallarta

The unit had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The location was excellent. Walking distance to the Marina and the Malecon and several great restaurants nearby. The huge pool was never busy. Sunsets and whale watching from the balcony was outstanding. I would stay there again and recommend it to friends but (see below)

We did not have a positive experience with our property manager, Gabriela. It started prior to our arrival with her first sending me our reservation info in Spanish even though my reservation specified English for communications followed by confusion regarding our reservation dates which resulted in her advising me we would have to choose alternative accommodations. The dates were on the reservation she had sent me but somehow she thought we were staying the week before. As it turned out our reservation dates were okay. Then I was advised our contact was a person who apparently did not speak English well (which is why he did not reply to my messages). We were promised a replacement remote for one of the air conditioners which we never received. The building does not allow guests to have visitors but we were assured by Gabriela all we had to do was cancel our reservation and re-register including the extra guests. After spending considerable money on food for dinner the building administrator advised us we could not cancel and re-register. The day before our check out Gabriela advised she would attend our check out at 11am the next day. At 11:16 I sent her a message asking if she was on her way. At 11:29 I sent another message advising we were leaving. 5 minutes later she replied but we were already downstairs waiting for our ride to the airport. There is more but space does not allow me to expand my narrative. This was not our first time renting in PV via Booking.com. As guests we are wholly dependent on the property manager providing us with complete and accurate information regarding the rules we are required to adhere to with respect to the rental property.
