NICE in Historical Bloomingdale

Sie ist in einer ruhigen , relativ zentralen Lage. Hat einen eigenen Zugang. Die VermieterInnen waren sehr nett. Reagierten bei Nachfragen immer sofort. Da die Wohnung nur ein großes Bett mit einer Decke hatte - geeignet für ein Paar, aber nicht Mutter und Sohn - bekamen wir auf Nachfrage unproblematisch ein Faltbett und Decke/Kissen gestellt.

Die Wohnung hat praktisch kein Tageslicht - die Fenster, die man öffnen kann gehen in den Hof, über den eine Terrasse gebaut ist, Selber kochen war schwierig - In der Küche fehlte es an scharfen Messern, Brettchen, einer großen Schüssel und das Geschirr inkl. Weingläser war aus Plastik.

We really liked the apartment’s infrastructure, everything was brand new, it felt like we were the first guests after the renovation! It’s a private apartment in the basement of a house with its own private entrance. The furniture, kitchen, and bathroom were modern and super clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with toaster, microwave, oven, pans, cutlery... There were mosquito screens on the windows, air conditioning, a TV in the bedroom, soap and lotion, towels... We really appreciated the small details like bottles of water, coffee, and local Washington magazines. The host was kind and helpful, and the place is well-connected by bus.

The only downside is that there’s not much natural light in the kitchen and living area, but that’s not a big issue if you spend the day out exploring the city. You can also hear a bit of noise from the upper floor, but it’s minor.
