The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Cairo. It is surrounded by shops, restaurants and eateries. Reception is staffed by friendly and helpful workers. Youstina, Amin and Mustafa are always there to assist with problems and questions. Breakfast is simple but delicious.
Housekeeping is good but not always consistent. Rooms are tidied but cups are not replaced daily as well as tea and coffee.
Accessibility to the hotel can be confusing. The hotel is situated on the first floor which you need to walk up the stairs to get to it. There is an elevator but it is very old and does not work properly so beware. The elevator does not go up the first floor anyway. When entering the building, it looks old and abandoned, but the hotel on the first floor is modern and clean. That being said the room is smaller than expected so it is a bit tight with two large suitcases. The shower needs to have an additional barrier to prevent water splashing on to the floor as it can be slippery.
Overall, though there were a few minor issues, this hotel is not a bad place to stay.
