Kimulimuli Green Heaven

This review is a long time coming. We had originally booked accommodation on the Utende side of the island, but when we discovered there would be a nightly park fee on top of our stay, we decided to switch quickly to the Kilindoni side. I was already familiar with this part of the island through a UK conservationist I know who returns here every year, so I began scouting around for somewhere to stay, and Kimulimuli just jumped out. I think it was the mangroves and the remote forest setting that did it. And then there was the beautiful cabin with a gorgeous outdoor shower and proper coffee! If you want great views, great food, great coffee, and somewhere that feels genuinely magical, this really is the place to come. What I love most is how they lead with conservation, sustainability, and community. It is at the heart of everything they do! I would come back here in a heartbeat. Every single day there felt like a blessing.

Très bel endroit atypique, petit déjeuner très complet (fruit, crêpes, oeufs). Facilement accessible avec les moyens de locomotion sur place. Les propriétaires de cet endroit sont aux petits soins à la moindre demande.

Pas grand chose, l'endroit est magique. Avec un accès à la mer par un petit chemin.

It is a sweet humble little place. The coconuts are delicious and the food is amazing!

Didn’t have a proper check in as the owner was away. The mouse poo was pretty gross and there were holes in the mosquito net. There was no mention that you have to pay cash so when I arrived I was informed that they don’t have a card machine which then become a big deal as the owner was messaging the manager who couldn’t really speak English. He wanted me to go to an ATM at night to draw the money which I said no to as I didn’t feel comfortable but would pay in the morning. This resulted in the owner calling me during dinner and turns out she thought I was refusing to pay when in fact I said we can sort it out in the morning, especially given that booking.com has my credit card on record and I was staying two nights.

El lugar está en plena naturaleza. Es un privilegio haber estado en un sitio así. La playa está a unos pocos metros y entonces te encuentras con un paisaje de bosque super apretado, arena, manglares y el océano ¡alucinante!!!! El trato y la atención de los anfitriones es top. Volvería sin dudarlo.
