Place is nice and clean, had everything you need after a long day. Beds are comfy and food is great. And the owner is friendly and helpful. A well deserved 10/10. Felt like home. Specially the best place if you doing Pekoe trail stage 13-14.

Excelente opción si estás haciendo el Peakon trail. Es una casa familiar, limpia, con todo lo básico que se necesita, y con un personal muy simpático que nos ayudó a entender mejor la vida en Sri Lanka. La comida muy buena, muy recomendable.

Very helpful staff, provided great food and some solid amenities for such a small village. They had a cute puppy as well :)

No fan in rooms, got a bit hot.

We stayed here while hiking the Pekoe Trail and it was one of the highlights. We hiked stages 8 to 15 and this town, St Catherine, was our favourite village - a rural farming village, so authentic. The family was very inviting and cooked us huge and delicious meals for dinner and breakfast. The food was outstanding and there was lots of it - for dinner multiple types of vegetable curries, fried egg and a sago dessert and for breakfast dosa with chutney and sambol - so, so good. The room had excellent wifi and the hot shower was the best of any place we stayed on the Pekoe Trail. We highly recommend staying here.
