Hebron Gardens House

It’s an unbelievable place. We loved it, and we will stay here if we come back to Kandy.

The place is not easy to find out. Breakfast might improve.

Fijne grote kamers met aandacht voor inrichting en detail. Lekker warm water in de douche! Groot zwembad met fijne ligstoelen. Locatie aan de rand van de stad waardoor je de drukte snel kan opzoeken. Fijne staff die altijd bereikbaar is en ad hoc dingen voor je regelt!

Er was niks dat niet beviel! Als ik een suggestie zou mogen doen voor verbetering dan zou ik het ontbijt nog iets upgraden. Bijvoorbeeld de mogelijkheid voor het bestellen van een cappuccino.

We werden onwijs goed geholpen door de mensen van het Huis. Ze dachten heel fijn met ons mee en deden erg hun best om het ons allemaal (gezin van 6) naar de zin te maken.

We hadden een andere boeking gedaan dan we uiteindelijk kregen. Er was verwarring over er geboekt was, maar dit werd prima opgelost.

We rented the 3-bedroom villa, which is located in their backyard. Be aware this is a (beautiful) private residence, and there seem to be two rental apartments in their backyard: one bedroom for a couple, and then their “villa” with three separate bedrooms (and ensuite bathrooms) at ground floor and the living room downstairs. The photos of the beautiful wrap-around porch belongs to their private residence, and the pool in the backyard is shared. Everything was very clean, and the bathrooms were modern. We also booked breakfast and dinner as part of the package, and found the food very enjoyable. Staff was very professional and attentive.

We felt a bit like an afterthought (perhaps because there was a private party going on one of the two nights we stayed there). Barely any communication at check in, we had to ask for basic stuff such as wifi password etc. The party guests celebrated on the roof top of our 4-bedroom bungalow, and the pool area was also crowded by the guests. There was no heads up about the party, which also meant our driver couldn’t park the car in the overfull parking area. To be fair, we eventually were offered a coffee or a glass of wine. So let’s assume this was a one-off with poor communication. However, the basement level (our living room with kitchenette) had quite a smell of drainage. We would have also appreciated more towels to have a set of towels for the pool. The garden itself was beautiful and an oasis (without party guests), but there are only 3 sun chairs around the pool (for six guests during the first night of our stay).
