Woodlands Family Villa

We had a wonderful stay at Woodlands Family Villa. We were a group of 9 adults and 3 kids, and the villa was very spacious with 5 A/C rooms, easily accommodating all of us comfortably. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the traditional style of the house gave it a nice homely feel. The garden and pool were the highlights of our stay. The pool was clean and the kids really enjoyed it, and the large garden with fruit trees made the place very relaxing. The host was very welcoming even though we booked last minute, and even shared fresh fruits with us, which was a lovely touch. The villa offers complete privacy, which made it perfect for a family getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we were able to cook our own meals. There is also plenty of parking space available. Special thanks to the caretaker who came on her day off to help us settle in during the New Year period. The staff were very respectful of our privacy.

There were occasional water pressure fluctuations, but a water pump was available to resolve it.

It was very spacious with enough room for a whole group of people. The pool was clean and there’s a massive garden. The staff is extremely helpful. We had a great stay.

Nothing. Just that it’s a 15 minute drive to the beach.

I recently stayed at this lovely place and truly enjoyed the calm and retreating atmosphere. Surrounded by plenty of trees and nature, it felt like a peaceful escape from the busy world. The swimming pool was refreshing, and the natural well added a unique, authentic touch to the setting. Its location is also convenient, being close to Hikkaduwa, yet still quiet and relaxing. A wonderful spot for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature.

There was, however, a minor inconvenience with the electricity. The property is in the process of upgrading to a three-phase connection (all the work has been done from host's side), but due to delays from the electricity provider this had not yet been completed. The hosts assured me that this will be resolved soon, and I appreciate their efforts to address it.
