The Annexe ….has it’s own signature style. Experience simple luxury in a relaxed atmosphere - English with French Moroccan influence.

Nestling at the edge of a beautiful open field in the heart of
Chipping Campden. A babbling brook outside your window, great bed, fabulous shower and cosy kitchen/diner to cook up a storm if you’re having a night ‘at home’. Walking distance to the High Street if you’re not…… with plenty of great bars and restaurants to drink and dine. A spiral staircase winds it's way up to the main bedroom and bathroom. Savour some al fresco dining under the wisteria arbour in Summer, play pooh sticks in the brook, snuggle up on the sofa and enjoy the view on a frosty morning. The Annexe has it all: wellies, sunhats, umbrellas, hot chocolate, lemonade, books, music.

A perfect cottage for two providing a romantic place to kick back and relax (talking/reading/chilling) or to explore (walking, the races, Campden literary festival, music festival). When traveling, it can be a bit overwhelming trying to decide where to stay. We were pretty anxious to know whether or not we were picking the right place. If that's your dilemma, let us assure you: The Annexe was the perfect place for us! First, you will not find better owners. Jerome and Alice live nearby and greeted us when we arrived to help familiarize us with everything. We have stayed many places over the years and never been so cared for. The property is well arranged and so many needs have been anticipated. When we encountered a hiccup during our stay, they did everything in their power to help us out. When traveling to a new area, it is very comforting to have people you can reach out to if you have any needs. Second, the location is exactly where you want to be to enjoy the Cotswolds and Chipping Campden particularly. We looked at a lot of different villages and properties and we were so glad we didn't go anywhere else!We've stayed a lot of places over the years and the value of this place is incredible. We highly, highly recommend!Our only regret is that we couldn't stay there longer! We hope to be back soon to enjoy the hospitality of the Annexe and the beauty of the area.

My advice to you is to stop looking for a place in Chipping Campden now and book the Annexe! This home is decorated with great taste, wit and whimsy. There is something delightful to see in every nook and cranny. In addition to being a visual delight, the home is furnished with a sofa and chairs you can sink into after a day out exploring and an oh so comfortable bed! There are two bathrooms…one en-suite in the bedroom at the top of a circular staircase and one off the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with many lovely dishes to choose from. Just a very short walk away is the quaint village with shops, restaurants, churches and Cotswold style homes. There are many country walks to choose from just outside the door and villages a short drive or bus ride away. It’s a perfect location for getting a taste of the Cotswolds. The owners, Alice and Jerome, are wonderful hosts! They left so many treats-cookies, candies, milk, a fully stocked bar and a gift card to a local deli! They responded quickly to messages and Jerome even gave us a ride to a neighboring village. They love sharing their lifestyle and truly made us feel like guests. We highly recommend this home for your stay in the Cotswolds!

We spent four nights at this wonderfully appointed and located Cottage. Owners were wonderful and left nothing to be desired. Gin & Tonics, cocktails, games, books, and a gift certificate to the local deli. So thoughtful and appreciated. View from living room was outstanding. Shower was great too. Biggest plus is that it is steps to the centre of the village. Parking on street was easy. Thank you!!

The Annexe is a charming, beautifully appointed, cosy, comfortable cottage, perfectly situated just off the High Street and on the verge of the countryside. Alice and Jerome have thought of everything their guests might require (full modern bathrooms and kitchen necessities including a dishwasher, reliable wifi, good tv accessibility) and many things they will simply enjoy (a selection of beverages, robes and slippers, books, games) and were always available to troubleshoot, give advice and make suggestions. We had decided to make this a holiday with a difference, more restful, less hectic, and The Annexe was the perfect haven in which to carry this out. We were perfectly content to stay in, or to go out and enjoy the town of Chipping Campden, and the surrounding sights and countryside. We can't wait to make a return trip and would love to visit yearly from Canada.

My 3 week stay at the Annexe was a delight from beginning to end. It’s a very stylish and beautifully decorated property in an excellent location just off the high street in Chipping Campden. It was a joy every morning, coffee in hand, to swing open the french doors in the sitting room and gaze out onto the field and listen to bird song. The hosts are very generous and responsive, with every possible detail provided for; the bed was extremely comfortable; the decor enjoyable to simply look at; and just an overall fantastic stay!

Alice and Jerome provide everything you could want or need in a setting both comfortable and inspiring. Tastefully appointed, the accommodations invite a relaxed opportunity to base your exploration of gorgeous town and countryside. We remarked that the experience was that of existing within a painting or idealized guidebook representation. And…the best of the stay were the host and hostess who could not have been more gracious or accommodating.

We had a wonderful time at the Annexe. The setting was gorgeous and the cottage was decorated in a beautiful way. They thought of everything you could need plus more. Jerome and Alice were great to deal with. You can tell that their cottage is a labor of love as they have so many personal touches added. We had the great opportunity to celebrate the coronation picnic and party with Alice and Jerome. We had such fun. Myself and my partner really enjoyed staying for 3 nights at The Annexe and highly recommend it. The place has so much personality with lots of attention to detail. It feels like the hosts have thought of everything to give you a nice stay. We were particularly grateful for the included £20 voucher for the local deli as well as lots of other goodies such as milk, snacks, pink bubbly and more. The location is great and it's only a 3 minute walk to the nice shops and restaurants that Chipping Campden has to offer. So many nice things to do around the area as well and the hosts have included lots of information on things to do and places to see. We loved our stay at the Annexe and very keen to return in the future!

This was the PERFECT way to begin our UK travel experience (Cotswolds, Edinburgh, London). The quaint historical village, the ease of access to nearby Cotswold landmarks, and fully equipped property eased us into a relaxing vacation. If you want a cottage that will get you in the right frame of mind for the Cotswolds, you couldn’t do better than Jerome and Alice’s Michaelmas Cottage. Charming is the defining word for both. And, it actually sits about 10-15 feet from a foot path that is part of the Cotswald Way. There are so many useful and thoughtful provisions, decorations, books, art, and furnishings, we couldn’t possibly take advantage of all of them in our 4 nights here. There was milk, hard cider, and cold glasses in the fridge and a $20 gift card for one of the fine food shops in the village to get us started. Many useful and beautiful books on the area, with a persistent French theme throughout the house that we appreciated, as Paris is our next destination. The kitchen is extremely well supplied, as are the bathrooms. The bed is firmer than we are used to, but we slept well. One note of caution: the combination of the sloping ceiling in the bedroom upstairs along with scarce floor space for moving around the bed made for several head knocks. Still, we were appreciative of having bathrooms both with the bedroom and downstairs off the spacious living room, which more than makes up for the cramped bedroom. Jerome and Alice themselves are gracious hosts and interesting and interested people. Should we ever be fortunate to return to the Cotswolds, this will be our preferred lodging.

I was seeking time away in a peaceful, comfortable cottage with country views but still close to a classic authentic Cotswolds town. The Annex provided all of this in spades. We had a wonderful 4 days staying at the Annexe, Alice and Jerome were there to meet us when we arrived and show us around and were lovely hosts. The property was immaculate and had everything you could want, it was really spacious and had a lovely view from the sofa over fields and a small brook and an outside seating area in front. The Annexe is close to the centre of Chipping Campden with a good selection of restaurants and shop and we would not hesitate to stay here again when next in the area.

The communication with the owners prior to our trip was excellent with almost immediate responses. We were met by Alice & Jerome on arrival and shown around. The cottage was really sweet and very comfortable, well equipped with everything you might possibly need and more! The little garden and terrace area were a bonus. The Annexe was perfect - it has everything, Alice & Jerome have stopped at no detail. We felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel, with more personality and better hospitality. You are in the heart of Chipping Campden with a babbling brook beyond the french doors, a public footpath steps away and all of the home away from home amenities you need (or wished you had!). The Annexe isn’t just a lovely cottage close to the historic market town of Chipping Campden. This is the perfect getaway place and Alice and Jerome will do everything to make you feel at home. We loved our stay. This lovely cottage is on the edge of a sheep field with a little stream running along it. I could have watched the sheep all day, but we used the amazing location to explore. From the moment we arrived at the Annexe, everything was perfect. Situated on a gently sloping sheep pasture, and just off the High street in Chipping Campden, you couldn’t find a more convenient, picturesque location. Step inside and the attention to detail is apparent in every room. Lovely linens in the bedroom and baths, every dish, glass, pot and pan in kitchen clearly closen with care. Books everywhere, just made us want to burrow in. We spent 15 days in the Annexe and that was just too short. Next time we will stay longer. We cooked dinner and ate by candlelight in the cozy kitchen, had coffee in the living room and watched the sheep, then wine and cheese in the afternoon and again, watched the sheep. A short walk down the street to go out for dinner or across the pasture to a neighboring village. It was lovely to meet Alice and Jerome, who have created a true gem of a place. Our stay at the Annexe was our best vacation yet. Such a special place.

I felt at home as soon as I walked into this wonderful cottage. From the warm welcome by Alice and Jerome to the delightful basket of provisions and the location, I cannot say enough to encourage others to stay in the Annex. It was close enough to the center of town to make walking around a pleasure but far enough away to make it peaceful and quiet. Parking was never a problem. The walk to Broadway Tower was a delight. I would love to return.

Easily the nicest rental place we have ever stayed in. Hosts Alice and Jerome were very helpful via email and in person. The cottage was exactly as the photos portrayed it to be: charming, beautifully appointed, well-equipped, spotless. And it does open on to a sheep pasture, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It is a few minutes's walk from shops, restaurants, and bus stops, and many walking trails go right through town. If we could give the Annexe 10 stars we would!

Alice and Jerome's Annexe was possibly the best accommodation we've ever had. The photo's do not do this property justice. When we arrived, we felt as though The Annexe had been set up specifically for us. There were several days worth of deluxe provisions - snacks, fruit, cheeses, bread, pasta, eggs, milk, coffee, tea, etc. The kitchen is great - we did a bit of cooking and everything we needed was there, within arms reach, easy to find and logically organized. There are beautiful toiletries to try for both men and women. Nothing is lacking. The color palette and attention to detail flow through each room creating a calming atmosphere. We slept so well in the cozy upstairs loft! The location is fantastic - located on the margin of a large sheep pasture, with easy access to the best walking paths in the Cotswolds, as well as being located on the high road in Chipping Campden which means shopping, great cuisine and pubs are just minutes away.
