    Our stay at The Arbor Hotel was a lovely experience, especially for those who prefer a quieter, more local side of the city. The location is a standout—just a short walk to Ohori Park, with charming neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, stores, salons all around that make it easy to settle into the rhythm of daily life. Everything you need is conveniently close by: groceries, the subway, bus stops, and even a 7-Eleven are just 1–2 minutes away. Cultural spots like the Fukuoka Art Museum and Fukuoka City Science Museum are also within easy reach, which made exploring effortless. It’s a great choice if you want to experience Fukuoka like a local and prefer to stay away from the busier areas like Tenjin or Hakata. The room itself was comfortable and well-kept, though a bit tight for a family with older kids. Still, for the location and overall convenience, it’s a solid option.

    We liked: The location; very near to subway, convenience stores, restaurants, supermarket, cafes. Why we were disappointed: Very cramped room layout; persistent sewer odor in bathroom; quite unfriendly wording of house rules; too thin towels; confusing self-check in process; not value for money. We don’t recommend this hotel.
