My family and I had a wonderful time in Grand Lakes and the house was a perfect fit for 6 adults. We hated to leave! One small suggestion would be to have a few extra wash clothes (there were only 2 for 6 people) and a dishcloth to wipe down counter tops. But those details are so minor compared to all the other amazing amenities.

Beautiful area and very peaceful stay! The home has everything you need and the communication with the host (Sarah) was excellent! Short walk to the lake and easy drive to town. We very much enjoyed ourselves!

The grounds are beautiful, but we were disappointed in several aspects of the actual property, as compared to the online description. The owners were easy to communicate with, and tried to resolve these problems, but these items really caused a damper to our vacation:
- When we arrived, several beds had dirty linens
- The mattresses are very firm and not very comfortable
- The curtains are very thin, which makes it really difficult to sleep in or watch movies in the living room during the day
- The Internet was VERY slow; this can be expected when in the mountains, but we felt that the property description wasn't accurate in how slow it was (made streaming TV and movies very difficult)
- At least two windows didn't lock properly
- The kitchen smoke detectors went off several times when we were cooking, but there was no smoke
- We weren't informed the house used well water (which was a health issue for one of our guests)
I appreciate that the hosts were responsive to our frustrations both during and after our trip, but these things really caused a disappointment in our trip.
